When is Summer Camp take place?
Summer Day Camp will be held for three two week sessions from June 27 - August 5, 2022 (no camp on July 4th due to the holiday). Camp will be held from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm; with options for AM and PM extended care.

Who can attend?
Any child between the ages of 5-13 who reside in Manchester may attend. Please note - children must have already completed kindergarten in order to attend.

How long is the camp day?
The regular camp day is 9 AM to 3 PM.

Where are the camp sites?
Camp sites for children ages 5-7 are located at Center Springs Park. Camp sites for children ages 5-11 are located at Leisure Labs @ Mahoney, Community Y Recreation Center and Martin School. The teen camp site for youth ages 11-13 is located at Camp Kennedy. The Recreation Leader in Training Program is for 15 year olds and is held at Mahoney Leisure Labs.

Are meals provided?
Snack & lunch are provided at all camp locations!

Which sites have swim lessons?
Camp swim lessons are available during camp hours at Martin, Mahoney and the Teen Camp at Camp Kennedy. Summer Camp Swim Lesson registration will be held on May 12, 2022.

Where will my child swim?
Leisure Labs (Marcy McDonald Pool), Community Y (Swanson Pool), Martin School (Globe Hollow), Center Springs Park (Globe Hollow), Camp Kennedy Advantage Camp (Globe Hollow).

What are the Summer Camps Sites? (ages 5-13)
Youth Site (5 - 7 years old): Center Springs Park
Youth Sites (5 - 11 years old): Leisure Lab at Mahoney Center, Community Y Recreation Center, Martin Elementary School
Teen Site (11 - 13 years old): Camp Kennedy Advantage Camp

What about the Recreation Leader in Training  Program?(RLT, age 15)
The Recreation Leader in Training program is a six week leadership training program for youth age 15. The RLT program is designed for training youth to be future leaders and to provide them the opportunity for possible future employment with the Manchester Recreation Division in our Summer Aquatics or Summer Camp program. Please note that participants must attend the first three weeks of RLT and at least two additional weeks. No transportation is provided. Each participant is responsible for providing transportation to and from any of the RLT sites.The main site for RLT this year will be Leisure Labs at Mahoney Center. Registration Day - April 4, 2022
Summer Day Camp registration will be held online starting at 9:00 am on April 4, 2022.

Is there a physical registration form?
Our Summer Camp registration is completely online – we no longer have a physical registration form.

How do I alter my selection during camp?
Contact the Center Springs office at (860) 647-3084 one week prior to the addition and pay for your request in full.

How do I register?
To register online you must have an active account in our system. If you are unsure if you have an active account, please give us a call at (860) 647-3084 to find out!

How are registrations processed?
The registration process begins on April 4th, 2022. Registrations are processed at a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.

How much does it cost?
The regular camp day costs $150/session. Payment must be completed with registration.

How do I pay?
Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, VISA or Mastercard in person at 39 Lodge Drive only. If registration is done online, VISA or Mastercard are the only two available payment options. Checks/Money Orders should be made out to the “Town of Manchester”.

What happens if I can’t pay the full amount at once?
A 3-payment plan is available ONLY for those registering for all three sessions of summer camp. For those individuals, 1/3 of the total camp bill should be submitted when registering. The second and third payments are due on May 4 and June 3, respectively. Sessions of participation must be paid in full by June 3rd. Failure to pay will result in the removal from camp for those sessions that are unpaid.

How do I apply for Financial Assistance?
If financial assistance is required contact Katie Clark at Manchester Senior, Adult and Family Services at (860) 647-3065 to schedule a consultation. Financial Assistance Approvals submitted prior to March 27th will be entered into the system and will allow you to register at the appropriate rate, online April 4th.

What is your refund policy?
Full refunds may be requested until June 4th. No refunds will be available after June 4th.
